5 months:
didn't have a doctor's visit this month, so i don't know the exact stats, but noah continues to grow and thrive, and we are blessed with a healthy, active baby!! in september, we had a couple of trips...first, we went to atlanta for my cousin's wedding, so everyone loved seeing noah and getting to spend some time with him. the wedding involved skydiving, which was a first and a very cool experience (watching - we didn't skydive ourselves). right after getting back, we went to the obx with billy's family for a week, so it was nice but definitely different having a baby - didn't feel as much like a vacation :) but we loved having our little guy there and getting many first experiences in with him in a place we've loved over the years. noah kept trying to eat the sand, and it was a bit of a zoo managing him and the dogs on the beach, but it was well worth it! he also got a cold while we were there, so that was sad for the little guy. he has gotten even more active - found him under my desk after he had climbed out of his carseat at work. towards the end of his 5th month, noah started scooting around and also sucking his thumb.
6 months:

we had another busy month. i drove with noah for a weekend in greensboro to see my family (they were at a wedding there). it's been special to be able to see them once a month so far! noah has gotten the army crawling thing down! he scoots around very quickly and wants to constantly be on the go. i've tried out some solids (sweet potatoes, squash, rice cereal, etc), but he's not a fan yet. not worried about it, though, since he's clearly growing enough :) noah has been making more defined sounds - "dada" is the favorite right now. had the first grocery cart experience, but he chewed on the cart handle and then got a rash, so we'll take a break from that for awhile! we started letting him cry it out at night, which is tiring but will hopefully have good results. towards the end of his 6th month, noah started saying "mama", but i don't know if he has any clue what it means :)
