noah is a very social baby. he LOVES other babies and kids and will smile, try to touch, etc whenever possible! his first two teeth broke through this month - didn't know until he bit me and it hurt :) my mom came for a visit which was lots of fun and helpful! he seems to like cheerios and puffs more than the food i make for him - probably since he can feed himself, and he's very independent. he is crawling more and will go through our side table like it's a tunnel. he also loves to stand up when you're holding him, which can be quite the workout!

again, didn't know length, but we'll have a 9 month appointment soon.
billy and i spent our first night away from noah for our anniversary at the beginning of december. it was nice to get uninterrupted sleep, although we both woke up a few times during the night just out of habit! noah is getting into everything now, very mobile and active! he learned to push back from crawling to sitting, always wants to get into brooks' house (brooks isn't too happy about that), and has been pulling up on everything. billy's mom and i took him to see santa, and he was NOT a fan - haha. this kid has never known a stranger, but he had a complete meltdown as soon as he saw santa. he has gotten more excited about food, and his favorite at the moment is probably hummus. he is ticklish on his ribs and feet and has started to belly laugh some - so cute! we spent Christmas in atlanta, so that was fun to be down there for his first Christmas. billy's parents and sister were there as well, so it was special for everyone to spend some time together. noah enjoyed a french fry or two at the varsity, so we're bringing him up right! before we left atlanta, noah actually crawled up two stairs to a landing, so i think it's time to start baby proofing!

our monthly pics are getting tougher to take - usually a two-person job where one of us holds a light-up thing to get noah's attention and the other takes a picture as quickly as possible. works occasionally!
so i had this cute idea for our Christmas card of having the dogs sit there with a closed box and then have noah pop out of the box. didn't work great, as the dogs kept trying to dig at the box (jefferson does know what presents are :)), and then noah kept trying to pull ornaments off the tree!
