Trip to ATL

So the last time I tried to do a blog post, the website was down, and I have been on the go ever since, with life continuing to stay busy and trying to get ready for my appraisal exam (which I thankfully passed on Wednesday!) Then, I just have to finish up my hours - still 1200 left - before I become a full appraiser and can eventually be a "work from home mom" for Jefferson and any future kids I have!

As part of my training, I've been making trips to Atlanta to work with a family friend who is an appraiser there and so graciously lets me train with me, since he gets batches of 20+ appraisals at a time, while we just get around one per week here (meaning that it will take me 4 years to get my license at that rate...when I realized I could become a doctor in that timeframe, I had to come up with "Plan B" to get more hours). Plus, I really enjoy working with Mr. Stembridge and have learned a lot so far from him!

During my last trip to ATL in mid-February, I worked a good deal but also was able to have lots of fun with my family and friends when I wasn't working! I also brought Jefferson on the plane with me, which was quite an experience, so he LOVED getting to play with my parents' dogs, Sam (or Sammy) and Annie. Every time Jefferson went outside, he made a beeline for the pool and proceeded to wade around on the steps while Annie barked right in his face, threatening to jump in right on top of him.  We got lots of laughs from the crazy dogs throughout the week!!  Ane he slept for about 2 days straight when I got back after playing so much, making me even more tempted to get another dog!!

Here are a few pictures from the trip...

Looking a little dazed...pre-flight and post-benadryl :)

Dog in a bag!

Impossible to get a cute picture of them staying still

She learned this in puppy class :)

We turned our backs for one minute, and the next thing we knew, Jefferson was on the counter (note my mom's surprised look in the background :))

The result of Jefferson's wading...pantaloon legs :)

So cute!!
